言詮（げんせん）
詮（せん）とは明らかにするという意味で、以下の公案は不立文字(ふりゅうもんじ)とは逆に、語句を以って悟りを表現しようとする時に用いられます。
難透（なんとう）
公案の難易度は人によって変わり、ある人は簡単に透れても、別の人はなかなか透れないという事もあるそうです。しかし、以下の公案は己の未熟さや問題点を認めない限り、まず透れないと言われています。

洞上五位
中国・曹洞宗（洞曹宗とも）の宗祖・洞山良价（とうざん りょうかい）の五位説を学び、理解します。五位説は禅者の心のあり方を示す正偏五位と、功勲五位によって成り立ちます。
十重禁戒（じゅうじゅうごんかい）
梵網経・下巻（菩薩戒経とも言われる）の「十重四十八軽戒」と呼ばれている禁戒を学びます。
